DIVA REMIX PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES DEBUT



February 25, 2002 (New York) - Do you remember when comic books were 'cool' ? When the anticipation of the newest issues used to dig at you for weeks ?



Well grab a cold soda, a gooey chocolate bar, get ready to read good comics again !



Diva Remix Productions, a new publisher coming from the great state of New York, has announced it's first plans to enter the comic book market with the August debut of Remix Comic Theater, an ongoing 40 page series, without ads, in black and white, to be published by Diva Remix Productions in the summer of 2002.



Remix Comic Theater twists to the ends of comics, creating a funky mix of Comedy, Gothic Drama, and Retro Old School. Three, two part serials and two stand alone stories make up this two issue anthology.



"Maybe, it's time for those who haven't been seen but, are out in the field of comics to come out in the center ring." say Artistic Director Jayson Mashall.



"Diva Remix Productions makes a promise to only publish quality over quantity and the best way to do that is to give experienced vets and talented newcomers a chance to showcase their stuff. Remix Comic Theater is our way of doing that." Marshall Said.



"I think the readers will be surprised, even intrigued by the finished product."

Following the initial release of the miniseries, Remix Comic Theater will continue as a quarterly series.



Remix Comic Theater #1 will feature a full color cover, with 32 black-and-white interior pages. This miniseries will retail for a $1.99 cover price, and will ship to select comic book outlets and catalogs in Summer 2002.

February 18, 2002 (New York) Diva Remix Productions has announced plans to release "Devilish Things", a two-shot, miniseries from writer/artistic director Jayson Marshall (Rose Witch) and artist.

"Devilish Things is a comic mixed with a heavy helping of gender and racial politics mixed with urban humor." , Marshall said, "Being as it's a romantic as well as humorous satire comic, it will appeal to the female as well as male audiences."

This is how Diva Remix Productions describes the series:

Devilish Things spins the tale soulful and beautiful spoken word poet, Erika clashes personalities and falls in love with a rock musician named Keri. His brash and aggressive personality clashes with her more bohemian philosphy. Personalities and ideals clash in this series that spans 2 years in the life of this contradiction of a couple and their brief romance.

"What i was trying to do with this series was create a comic with more of an appeal to women. With Devilish Things i think i've done it."

Devilish Things #1 (of 2) will feature a full color cover, with 32 black-and-white interior pages. This issue will retail for a $1.99 cover price, and will ship to select comic book outlets and catalogs in Summer 2002. The second and final issue of the series will be released the following month.
